Just Saying

I love this blog project.
Lately, it's been really, really cool to watch how everyone's so into their blogs. I feel like a lot of kids are sort of coming out of their shells and saying what they want to say.

PLUS,
it's awesome to watch everyone gain an audience, write what they feel, and love what they talk about. No matter what you're posting about, someone out there's going to want to hear what you have to say.

STAND UP, BE BOLD, BE STRONG, AND

KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF

YOUR OWN DESTINY.

Just saying.

If I Could Cure Any Disease or Illness..

"Many of us know friends and/or family with a disease or illness that is life threatening. Your job is to become an expert about that disease (or a different one of your choice) and write a post that includes five or more facts about the disease and 1 or more things the reader could do to increase awareness, support a cure, or help individuals afflicted with the disease.  If you are having trouble deciding which disease you would like to learn more about, talk to family and friends and look at kidshealth for their comprehensive list. The post below is about ALS, a disease my brother is living with. If I could cure ONE disease it would be ALS."

Above, I copied and pasted the assignment exactly, from Mrs. Latz's blog here

So...the question. If I could cure any disease or illness, what would it be? Well, I hope my answer isn't too cliche. Because I would want to cure cancer.
Most cancers CAN be treated and controlled, but some keep growing and multiplying too fast to stop. If you don't already know, cancer is just overgrowth of abnormal cells interfering with your body's normal processes, but it causes serious pain and damage. Recovery is difficult.

My grandma and a few of my relatives died from cancer. I know over five people who have HAD cancer, and two living WITH cancer, and all I know is it's painful, both mentally and physically.

...If you know someone with it, you should spend as much time with them as possible and appreciate them while their here. It's scary how quickly they can be snatched away from us.

Dessert Dance

Hey guys!
So our computers class was given another project...to make another blog post!
More specifically: To make a blog post about the "Dessert Dance". MORE specifically, about a theme we think we should have.
There are three themes:
Glow in the Dark
A Night in Hawaii
and NEVERLAND!!!

Anyways, I pick Neverland!

Reason #1: I think our class will really get into it. I mean..the whole story of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys is fun by itself, but imagine if our dance was built around that story!

Can you imagine how it'd look? I can imagine decorating the gym to look like an exotic island lagoon, with some plants, fairies, pirate ships and what-not.

There could be little lanterns hanging everywhere and colorful tables, with clusters of plants and foliage, because when I think of Neverland, I think of somewhere wild and beautiful.

SERIOUSLY,
If the theme Neverland was chosen, I would want to be on the dance committee in a heartbeat.

What do you guys think?

Happy Nerd Day!

Hello again, you special, amazing, awesome person reading this!
This is going to be a short post.

But Happy Nerd Day!! At school, it's so entertaining to see people walking around in suspenders, knee-socks, move-theater glasses, and their collection of calculators.

In my opinion, this is the best spirit day ever.
And yeah.
So yeah.

You go, Nerds. You go.

Well, This Is Weird

Howdy, whoever's reading this.
My name's Isabellaaaaaaa!!!!!
I'm a middle-school student, and my class is supposed to make a blog! You heard me right, A BLOG.
No one was really excited about this project...and the worst part is, your peers will eventually read what you wrote.

(And if you're reading this and know nothing about me, last year I moved to a new school.)

If you've never been to a new school before, it's really scary(and awkward).
Reaaaally awkward.

By the time I got there, everyone had their own friends and their own problems. Everyone judges the new kid on the first day; they always point you out to everyone else.
"There she is."
"That one, right there!"
"No, THAT one!!!"

So, for quite some time, I mostly kept to myself, books, and quiet people who I thought I would get along better with.

I mean, everyone else looked so intimidating and cool

 Really cool

Not for any particular reason, except they were confident, laughed a lot, and had a circle of friends that they were all close with.

At my old school, I was not "cool".
I got bullied a little, and once, a girl even dumped her entire lunch on me.
The worst part was, it was pancakes, syrup, and applesauce, which wasn't pretty.
At all.

But anyways, this blog is just going to be a more "personal" blog with a lot of stories. If you're into that, cool.

I hope you aren't rolling your eyes at me right now, thinking: "......Well, this is weird."
